Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Her given title is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). Her parents are Mexican as well as American. Gerina has always been an avid sportsperson. Gerina first began playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School. When she was in the high school level, she was able to win her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. Her volleyball skills were also recognised at a national level. She attended an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. In her final year, she was the winner of every competition she entered. During her undergraduate career she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athlete Of The Year.
