Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police in DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. It led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. After her time in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
