Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known as a naive character who are engaging and relatable. Adams was among seven siblings that grew up when she was a kid in Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father worked in the U.S. Military in Italy. In the mid-1990s she began acting and dancing professionally in Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. She then moved to Minnesota where she was scouted for Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. After making her screen debut as a ditzy but good-natured contestant, she moved into Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. The husband of her Tony Curtis was her partner between June 1950 and September 1992. Her children included, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer who signed her a contract work for MGM in the 1940s. In the decade that followed she was in a variety of famous films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
